What is the Committee of 100?
The
Committee of 100 is a national non-profit, non-partisan
organization composed of American citizens of Chinese
descent. Each member has achieved positions of leadership
in the United States in a broad range of professions.
With these diverse backgrounds, members collectively
pool their strengths and experience to address important
issues concerning the Chinese-American community, as
well as issues affecting U.S.-China relations.
How
does the mentoring breakfast work?
Apply
to participate in the 2nd Annual Committee of 100 National
Mentoring Breakfast.
Applicants who are selected will be invited to:
Participate in a special mentoring breakfast on Saturday,
April 3rd, 8:30-10:00 A.M. You will join a round-table personal
mentoring discussion with a mentor selected from the Committee
of 100 membership based on your career interests.
Attend all the Saturday sessions of the Committee of 100
Annual Conference, addressing a wide range of Asian American
topics, including: APA¡¦s in the Entertainment Industry,
in Philanthropy, and in Corporate America as well as Education
about Asia and APA¡¦s in Public Schools.
All
applicants will be added to our database and will be
contacted for future mentoring events such as the Committee
of 100 Regional Asian American Leadership Forums.
Note: All participants are responsible for their own
travel and lodging expenses.
What
is the application procedure?
Application
Deadline EXTENDED: MARCH 21st, 2004.

Registration for Mentorship Breakfast
Acceptance
Notification: Applicants selected to participate in
the kick-off breakfast will be notified by email no
later than March 23rd, 2004.
Registration:
Those receiving notification will be required to confirm
their registration by March 25th, 2004 with an advance
registration fee of $25 for students, $35 for young
professionals. The fee covers participation in both
the breakfast and the Annual Conference proceedings
that day.
What
are the selection criteria?
Age
Requirement: You must be a college student, a graduate
student or a professional;
30 years old or younger.
Demonstrated Leadership Ability
Involvement in Asian American Affairs
