Brian Sun

Brian Sun is a partner at O’Neill, Lysaght, and Sun, specializing in civil and criminal litigation in federal and state courts. He represents Fortune 500 companies and employees in complex business litigation and white-collar criminal defense.

Previously, he served as the Assistant United States Attorney in the Central District of California, Los Angeles. He was chief of Financial Investigations in the Criminal Division. He testified before Congress about anti-money laundering legislation and frequently lectured bankers regarding money laundering.

He has served as President of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers’ Association, Asian Pacific Bar of California, and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. He has also served as Deputy General Counsel on the Independent Commission on the Los Angeles Police Department and as a Volunteer Attorney in the Chinatown Service Center Pro Bono Clinic.

He received a BA magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Southern California and a JD from the University of Southern California Law Center.
