Herman Li

Herman Li is Chairman of C & L Restaurant Group Inc, which is a franchisee of the Burger King Corporation and Denny’s Corporation. C & L owns and operates 60 Burger King Restaurants in the states of California, Utah, Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Indiana, and 8 Denny’s in the northeast region. Mr. Li is on the Executive Committee of the Diversity Action Council of Burger King Corporation, whose goal is to enhance diversity within the Burger King system and to remove barriers that impede good business relationship with the ethnic business communities. He is also president of the Burger King Asian Franchisee Association, a national association of Asian American Burger King franchisees.

Mr. Li is also a member of the Board of Directors and serves as Chairman of the audit committee, East West Bank, California. East West Bank is the fourth largest commercial bank headquartered in Southern California and one of the largest banks in the United States that focuses on the Chinese -American community, with total assets over $ 3 billion.

From 1992-1997, Mr. Li was on the Board of Directors of Restaurant Services Inc., a Burger King Purchasing and Service Co-oop responsible for the procurement and supply management of the Burger King system ( USA ) in excess of $2.6 billion a year. During those years he was also the Chairman of the Premium Committee, in charge of the procurement of all the premiums & toys for the Burger King system, amounting to over $200 million a year.

For his various business successes, Mr. Li was honored as “ Asian Business Owner of the Year “ 1997
by the Asian Business Association, Los Angeles, California.
