Liu
Norman Liu is the Executive Vice President (EVP), Commercial Operations
for GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS). GECAS is the world’s
leading aircraft financing firm with a fleet worth over $40 billion
and consisting of 1,500 owned/financed aircrafts and 300 aircrafts
managed for investors.
Norm has been with the General Electric Company for 18 years,
starting with the former Transportation & Industrial Funding
business for 5 years. He then was Vice President – Business
Development on the headquarters staff of GE Capital for 3 years
and served as a Managing Director at Kidder, Peabody, where he
was a member of the Management Committee. Norm has been with GECAS
for 10 years and assumed his current position in 1996. He was named
a Corporate Vice President of GE Capital in 1992 and a GE Corporate
Vice President in 2002.
He graduated from Yale College in 1979 with a BS in Engineering,
Economics. After receiving an MBA from Harvard Business School
in 1982, he joined Dean Witter Reynolds (now Morgan Stanley) as
an Associate - Corporate Finance and was later a Director - Corporate
Finance for Samuel Montagu (now HSBC plc).
