Wilson Chu
Wilson is a partner in the Business Transactions Section of
Haynes and Boone, LLP, a national law journal top 100 law firm.
His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity
investments, and emerging company advice, with an emphasis
on transactions involving technology companies and Asian-based
transactions. Wilson chairs the Firm's Asia Practice Group.
He is a frequent speaker and author on M&A and international
law issues and is active in numerous professional associations.
He serves on the Executive Committee of the ABA’s Negotiated
Acquisitions Committee. He is also a former officer and member
of the Board of Governors of the National Asian Pacific American
Bar Association, which, with over 10,000 members, is the national
organization of the Asian-American legal profession. He is
a co-founder and co-chair of NAPABA Partners, the national
network for APA partners in major US law firms.
Wilson is also active in civic and charitable affairs, including
service on his third term on the Board of Trustees of the Dallas
Museum of Art and The Salesmanship Club of Dallas. He was also
an Ex-Officio Member of the Advisory Board of the Asia Society/Texas
(1996-2000).
Wilson is a past recipient of the Dallas Business Journal’s "40
Under 40" award to Dallas's 40 most prominent and influential
business persons under 40 years old.
Wilson received his B.B.A. and his J.D. from Southern Methodist
University in Dallas, where he played on the varsity tennis
team. He has since successfully turn his athletic talent into
a poor game of golf. Most of all, he enjoys spending time playing
humble servant to his wife and daughter.
